I have always wanted to tell stories like the ones that held my attention as a child. It’s a blessing that I get to do it as my day job.
Hi there, I’m Lydia Ume. I’m a digital content writer, strategist, and web designer based in Nigeria.
Currently, I’m a Digital Content Writer at Africa Parent, Nigeria’s largest community of African women who are passionate about parenting, entertainment, food, health, and lifestyle. My day-to-day typically involves keyword research, writing timely and resourceful articles, and optimising content for search engines.
I love writing for and about women. As a result, I mostly work with but not restricted to brands who are looking to build a profitable relationship with (African Women). My interests are on gender, technology, arts and culture.
Besides providing affordable web design services for small businesses, I also edit Badly Behaved Lady, a lifestyle blog that celebrates women. Check out the resources I share for fellow creatives because this can often be a lonely journey.
In 2019, I was privileged to be a Grantee of the Writing For Social Justice Workshop, hosted for African women writers by African Women’s Development Fund. So yea, I am a trained social justice warrior. LOL. That’s my graduation photo up there, it was one of my proudest moments!
